1928-1989. Italian film director, responsible
for popularizing `spaghetti' Westerns
(Westerns made in Italy and Spain, usually
with a US leading actor and a European
supporting cast and film crew) and making a
world star of Clint Eastwood. His films
include A Fistful of Dollars 1964, Once upon
a Time in the West 1968, and Once Upon a Time
in America 1984.
