1878-1944. Czech politician, prime minister
of Czechoslovakia from Feb 1936. He and
President Benes were forced to agree to the
secession of the Sudeten areas of
Czechoslovakia to Germany before resigning 22
Sept 1938 (see Munich Agreement).
