1942- . Austrian novelist and playwright,
whose first play Insulting the Audience 1966
was an example of `anti-theatre writing'. His
novels include Die Hornissen/The Hornets 1966
and The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick
1970. He wrote and directed the film The
Left-handed Woman 1979.
