1951- . New Zealand cricketer. In 1987 he
surpassed Ian Botham's world record of 373
wickets in Test cricket and went on to set
the record at 431 wickets before retiring
from international cricket in 1990. Hadlee
played first-class cricket in England for
Nottinghamshire and in Australia for
Tasmania. His father Walter Arnold Hadlee
also played Test cricket for New Zealand, as
did his brother Dayle Robert Hadlee. CAREER
