1926- . Canadian ice-hockey player, who
played for the Detroit Red Wings (National
Hockey League) 1946-71 and then the New
England Whalers (World Hockey Association).
In the NHL, he scored more goals (801),
assists (1,049), and points (1,850) than any
other player in ice-hockey history. He played
professional hockey until he was over 50.
