1904-1975. Italian composer. In his early 
years he was a Neo-Classicist in the manner 
of Stravinsky, but he soon turned to 
Serialism, which he adapted to his own style. 
His works include the operas Il Prigioniero/
The Prisoner 1949 and Ulisse/Ulysses 1968, as 
well as many vocal and instrumental 
compositions.
