1913-1965. British broadcaster and provincial
newspaper owner. He joined the British
Broadcasting Corporation in 1936 and
established himself as the foremost
commentator on royal and state events and
current affairs (Panorama) on radio and
television. He is commemorated by the Dimbley
lectures.
