Died 42 BC. Roman soldier, one of the
conspirators who killed Julius Caesar in 44.
He fought at Carrhae 53, and with the
republicans against Caesar at Pharsalus 48,
was pardoned and appointed praetor, but
became a leader in the conspiracy of 44, and
after Caesar's death joined Brutus. He
committed suicide after his defeat at
Philippi 42 BC.
