1850-1917. (also called `Mother Cabrini`)
First Roman Catholic US citizen to become a
saint. Born in Lombardy, Italy, she founded
the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart,
and established many schools and hospitals in
the care of her nuns. She was canonized 1946.
Her feast day is 22 Dec.
