The electromagnetic radiation, also known as
the 3 degrees radiation, left over from the
original formation of the universe in the Big
Bang around 15 billion years ago. It
corresponds to an overall background
temperature of 3K (-270 degrees C/-454
degrees F), or 3 degrees C above absolute
zero.
