1845-1875. French poet. His Les Amours
jaunes/Yellow Loves 1873 went unrecognized
until Verlaine called attention to it in
1884. Many of his poems, such as La Rhapsodie
Foraine/Wandering Rhapsody, deal with life in
his native Brittany.
