1939- . English actor and comedian, who has
appeared in both television and films. He has
written and appeared in the satirical
television programmes That Was The Week That
Was and The Frost Report as well as the
anarchic comedy series Monty Python's Flying
Circus and Fawlty Towers which he co-wrote
with his ex-wife Connie Booth. His films
