1906-1973. US actor, son of Lon Chaney, who
gave an acclaimed performance as Lennie in Of
Mice and Men 1940. He went on to star in many
1940s' horror films, including the title role
in The Wolfman 1941. His other work includes
My Favorite Brunette 1947 and The Haunted
Palace 1963.
