1827-1881. British Gothic revivalist
architect. His chief works are Cork Cathedral
1862-76, additions to and remodelling of
Cardiff Castle 1865, and Castle Coch near
Cardiff 1875. His style is characterized by
sumptuous interiors with carving, painting,
and gilding.
