Bhutto, Zulfikar Ali 1928-1979. Pakistani
politician, president 1971-73; prime minister
from 1973 until the 1977 military coup led by
Gen Zia ul Haq. In 1978 he was sentenced to
death for conspiring to murder a political
opponent and was hanged the following year.
