1840-1922. British poet. He married Lady Anne
Noel, Byron's grand-daughter, and travelled
with her in the Middle East, becoming a
supporter of Arab nationalism. He also
supported Irish Home Rule (imprisoned
1887-88), and wrote anti-imperialist books,
poetry and diaries.
