Alain-Fournier, Pen name of Henri-Alban
Fournier 1886-1914. French novelist. His
haunting semi-autobiographical fantasy Le
Grand Meaulnes/The Lost Domain 1913 was a
cult novel of the 1920s and 1930s. His life
is intimately recorded in his correspondence
with his brother-in-law Jacques Riviere.
