Berio, Luciano 1925- . Italian composer. His style has been described as graceful serialism, and he has frequently experimented with electronic music and taped sound. His works include nine Sequenzas/Sequences 1957-75 for various solo instruments or voice, Sinfonia 1969 for voices and orchestra, Points on the curve to find... 1974, and a number of dramatic works, including the opera Un re in ascolto/A King Listens 1984, loosely based on Shakespeare's The Tempest.
