Bird Merops apiaster found in Africa,
S Europe, and Asia. It feeds on a variety of
insects, including bees, which it catches in
its long narrow bill. Chestnut, yellow, and
blue-green, it is gregarious, and generally 
nests in river banks and sandpits.
