Bawa, Geoffrey 1919- . Sri Lankan architect,
formerly a barrister. His buildings are a
contemporary interpretation of vernacular
traditions, and include houses, hotels, and
gardens. More recently he has designed public
buildings such as the New Parliamentary
Complex, Colombo, (1982), and Ruhuru
University, Matara (1984).
