Baker, Janet 1933- . English mezzo-soprano
who excels in lied, oratorio, and opera. Her
performances include Dido in both Dido and
Aeneas and The Trojans, and Marguerite in
Faust. She retired from the stage in 1981 but
continues to perform recitals, oratorio, and
concerts.
