1887-1971. British philosopher. His books
include Perception, Physics and Reality 1914,
and Lectures on Psychic Research 1962,
discussing scientific evidence for survival
after death. Born in London, he was educated
at Trinity College, Cambridge, and was
Knightbridge professor of moral philosophy at
the university 1933-53.
