1908- . Australian test cricketer with the
highest average in test history. From 52 test
matches he averaged 99.94 runs per innings.
He only needed four runs from his final test
innings to average 100 but was dismissed at
second ball. Bradman was born in Bowral, New
South Wales, came to prominance at an early
age, and made his test debut in 1928. He
played for Australia for 20 years and was
captain 1936-48. He twice scored triple
centuries against England and in 1930 scored
452 not out for New South Wales against
Queensland, the highest first-class innings
until 1959. In 1989 a Bradman Museum was
