one of the first science-fiction writers to
make the genre `respectable' to a wider
readership. His work shows nostalgia for
small-town Midwestern life, and includes The
Martian Chronicles 1950, Something Wicked
This Way Comes 1962, and Fahrenheit 451 1953.
