(Frederick Bean) 1907-1980. US cartoon-film
director who used violent, sometimes surreal
humour.  At Warner Brothers he helped develop
the characters Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, 
before moving to MGM in 1942 where he 
created, among others, Droopy and Screwball
Squirrel.
