                                 MenuKeys V1.0
                                 =============

Hi, this is my first release of MenuKeys. I've started to write this Commodity a
little while ago in order to access menus with the keyboard instead of the
mouse. I've searched through the fish disks and through the whole Aminet. In
vain, some of the programs didn't work at all, some of these programs weren't
flexible enough, ... Then there's magic menu, ok, it's a nice program and it's
working, but I don't want that much stuff. So I decided to write my own little
commodity. In the very beginning I've taken a program named menulock (written by
Jan van der Baard) and I've examined the sources to find out how it's working.
And here it is, my first version of this program. Try it out, run it with the
enforcer, mail me your suggestions and all the bugs you'll find.

Legal Stuff:
============

This commodity is Giftware. If you like this program, then send me a small gift.
This may be e.g a huge bag full of money, a new car, your soul, a computergame
you don't need any more, a postcard, a letter, a nice icon for this program ;c)
, EMail, ...

The copyright of this program is mine. But I can't take any responsibility for
possible damages made by this tool. This archive may only be distributed in
unchanged state.

Important:

Persons who support violence against foreigners or animals aren't allowed to use
this tool.

Usage:
======

Run this program from your shell or by clicking on it's icon (sorry, there's no
icon yet). Currently it supports quite a lot of Tooltypes/Arguments to configure
the keys.

    Hotkey:         Action:                         Default:
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    PRIORITY        The commodity's priority        0
    LOCK            Hotkey                          lcommand space
    QUIT Quit the commodity ctrl q
    UP              Move the mousepointer           up
    DOWN                - " -                       down
    LEFT                - " -                       left
    RIGHT               - " -                       right
    SUP Move to the end of the menu shift up
    SDOWN                   - " -                   shift down
    SLEFT                   - " -                   shift left
    SRIGHT                  - " -                   shift right
    AUP Skip 5 menus alt up
    ADOWN                   - " -                   alt down
    ALEFT                   - " -                   alt left
    ARIGHT                  - " -                   alt right
    ALTJUMP Number of menus to skip 5
    LBUTTON         Select a menuitem               space
    CANCEL          Cancel the menu                 escape

Ok, to activate the Menucontrol, you'll have to press the LOCK Hotkey (e.g
rcommand space) and the menu in the upper left corner will pop up. Use the
cursor keys to navigate the mousepointer. If you'd like to enter a submenu, then
you'll have to move the pointer to the appropriate Menuitem and press Space.

Now you can enter submenus by pressing cursor left and leave them by pressing
cursor right.

Known Bugs
==========

    Cancel with the right mousebutton doesn't work like I want it to. If your
    leaving the menubar by pressing the right mousebutton, your cursorkeys,
    escape and the spacebar will be locked. Press your LOCK hotkey once to
    reactivate them and to make the mousepointer appear.

Todo
====

    Keyrepeat for the cursor keys

    Cancel with the right mousebutton
    ... (perhaps you'll find something)
