Choose person help
===================

This screen is used by many of the other options and allows you to select
a person by name for some task. This should prove much easier than having
to remember a persons record number. If you have recently added a person
then you will be asked if you want to sort the person index. If you choose
yes then the person index will be sorted and stored on disk (remember - to
speed this process up try putting the person index into RAM - see
preferences for more details). If you have changed a person's name or
gender then the person index will have to be sorted to incorporate the
new details.
You can choose a person from the list of people's names. Your current
choice will be both highlighted and shown in a separate box just below the
names list. If there are more names than can be fitted into the box then
you can scroll up and down using either the scroll arrows or scroll bar.

Choose
-------
When you have chosen a person, press on this button to inform the
program of your choice and take you back to the previous task.

View
-----
This will allow you to view the selected person's record to check if it
is the correct person. It is possible to view the extra field details by
using the cyclic gadget at the bottom of the screen; just press the mouse
on it to cycle through the fields.

Search
-------
To search for a person you must enter something into the search box.
When you then press on the search button, the list of people will be
scanned and you will be informed of any occurrences (the search is NOT
case sensitive - SMITH = Smith = SmItH).
