Calendar templates for PageStream

After years of printing calendars with various C64, IBM, and Amiga
programs, I found that I was still not satisfied with either the
flexibility or print quality of any calendar making program.  Rather
than spend money on yet another program, I decided to use PageStream
to create my own custom calendars.  The biggest obstacle to using
PageStream was the large amount of manual work which would be involved
to generate the "standard" part of each calendar: the boxes and dates.
I finally decided to create simple, but flexible, calendar templates.

Using the templates is quite easy.  First, determine which day of the
week that the month begins.  Next, load the corresponding template into
PageStream (MON=Monday, TUE=Tuesday, etc.).  If the month has less than
31 days, delete the extras boxes and days at the end of the month by
selecting them and pressing the DEL key.  (Each line making up the box
around the 29, 30, and 31 of the month is a separate object to make it
easy to delete.)

At this point you may wish to resize the calendar.  Do this by choosing
the "SELECT ALL" option, then the "GROUP" option, which will cause the
entire template to be treated as a single object.  You can now select
the template and "drag" it to the size you want.

Now just add the heading text, graphics, or other text anywhere you want
to; because you are using PageStream, you have total flexibility.  If you
save your calendar, remember to use the "SAVE AS" option so that you don't
overlay the template!  For a simple example of a completed calendar,
look at the file named SAMPLE.
