OctaMED Modules 1 Disk 1 of a series By Kevan and Gareth Craft. Placed in the Public Domain with Cynostic PD November 1992 The music on this disk is freely distributable so long as this doc accompanies it! Reading this doc you should know by now that this disk is self booting and contains its own Workench. The System configuration is the same as OctaMED v3.00 Professional © Copyright by Teijo Kinnunen/ Amiganuts and distributed by Amiganuts and Seasoft Computing, The Business Centre,80 Woodlands Avenue, Rustington, West Sussex. BN16 3EJ. England.Tel: 0903 - 850378. Therefore this system configuration will be inkeeping with the style and colours of the original program. Basically, there are four playable modules on the disk which derived from various sources. 'ChipChop2' 'Chuck' 'EmptySpaces' and 'Orpheus' which were originally Soudtracker/Noisetracker executable modules. these modules were ripped using the PD utility 'Muli-ripper' and then saved. From there, they were loaded into OctaMED V3.00 Professional and configured for this great program. The OctaMEDplayer is included on this disk to play the modules. This should enable the user to click on the modules and play them from Workbench. There is also a second player utility - medplayer which should also play the said modules. Teijo Kinnunen the Author of all versions of MED including OctaMED v3.00 professional has granted permission for both players and libraries to be freely distributable within the Public Domain. If you possess OctaMED V2.00 or V3.00 Professional then you can also save the various IFF samples and raw Synth instruments contained within the songs on this disk to a separate disk for use in your own music produced on your own software. Moreover, the Medplayer.library is included in the 'libs' directory and should be included wherever you use the OctaMedplayer or medplayer. The powerpacker.library is for the 'PPMore' text reader - for this file and for the 'DirFile' which you should be able to print out from here. Again, the system has been configured so that the 'devs' directory contains the relevant devices and printer driver (generic) suitable for printing text to all printers! The four tracks are NOT crunched/packed but you may do so using whichever cruncher you wish and both OctaMed V3.00 and OctaMEDplayer will load the modules and decrunch them during loading....
