Batch_Format This is just a simple little script file that allows you to FORMAT several disks, one after the other. All the disks will be called "New Disk" and will be pre-initialized for auto-boot. Usage: from the CLI type "Execute BF", at the prompt put the disk to be formated into DF1: and press return, repeat as necessary...:) To quit, press CTRL-D at the end of the format. There is a prompt for this too. This script works fine, but could be better. Unfortunatly, I don't have the skills to make it better. So any of you programing types out there, who know how, are encouraged to build and improve. Specifically, I think it would be nice if it could be made to work from WorkBench (I tried, but the script wouldn't wait for user input at the prompts..:)). It would also be better if the user could type in a user definable name for each disk, as an option, or allow the program to use a default disk name. But, anyway. Feel free to pass this around to whoever or wherever you think it might be used. If anyone does modify or improve this script (or simply trashes it and writes something better!) I WOULD like to see the results. I would appreciate it if you would upload the results and leave me mail telling me about it to: Normiga BBS Serving the San Diego Amiga Community at 619-585-1336 or MBC Broadcasting San Diego's Amiga Connection at 619-422-0239 Leave mail to: John Scrivner Enjoy.
