LetterTyper V1.0

    This  utility  was  written  after.....   I  don't know why I wrote this
utility.  I think I was bored.  Anyway, it turned out quite nice.

        LetterTyper  is  a  simple  (or  not  so simple) text displayer like
PPMore,  MuchMore  etc.,  but  it  is designed like a true AMIGA FREAK would
design  one.   I  mean  it has all the things required:  Stars, Copperlines,
Pretty logos, Music etc....


Usage:
        LETTER <text file> <music> <-s> <-c>


        Letters  are  standard  ASCII text files.  All of the characters are
present (with the exception of the control characters).


      The music can be a music module of one of the following formats:
                          SOUNDMON
                          SID/BUGMON
                          DELTA MUSIC
                          NOISE/PROTRACKER
                          FUTURE COMPOSER 1.0-1.3

        If  no name is given, then no music is played.  This does not affect
the text in anyway, it's just for background atmosphere.


        The flags control on-screen effects.  You have two options:

                             -C      Copperlines
                             -S      StarField

        If  you  don't  want an effect, then you don't need it.  The effects
are optional and are ONLY shown when they are selected.



        There  are  7  control  characters for use when writing your letter.
These are:

                   ALT 1   -  ¹  -   Text Speed 1 (fastest)
                   ALT 2   -  ²  -   Text Speed 2
                   ALT 3   -  ³  -   Text Speed 3
                   ALT 4   -  ¢  -   Text Speed 4 (slowest)

                   ALT 5   -  ¼  -   Pause text for 4 seconds
                   ALT 6   -  ½  -   Pause text for 1 second

                   ALT 7   -  ¾  -   Quit out immediatly

        If  you use 'Alt 7' in your text, the LetterTyper will exit out then
and there.  You should only use this character at the END of your letter, or
else the entire letter will not be displayed.


        During  viewing,  you  can  press  the  HELP  key to see all viewing
controls.  These controls are:

          P       -       Turn Text Pause ON/OFF
          HELP    -       Display HELP Page
          DEL     -       Remove HELP Page
          F1-F4   -       Text Speeds 1-4
          F9      -       Remove 3D Effect (Drop Shadow on Text)
          F10     -       Display 3D Effect (Drop Shadow on Text)

   Pressing the rightmouse while viewing, will speed up the text display.


        The  text  and  music  files can be crunched with POWERPACKER if you
want  to.   Because I ran out of time while working with this utility, I had
to  make  use of the POWERPACKER.LIBRARY.  You will therefore need have this
file  in  the  LIBS:   directory of the disk you boot from.  This library is
needed, even if the files aren't crunched!
