Monday 7 June 1802 Day 116 Moderate breezes- pleasant weather "Stood in for the land N.E. when a little after noon it was clearly discovered at N.E. being near the centre of Van Demons Land. I took a sketch tho imperfect at 3 o'clock- at that time about 7 or 9 leagues distance the nearest part. The farthest extent to the left when facing it was due North, and to the right hand due East the Eddiston Rock.
