 Variable winds - cloudy and very 
 sultry caught 2 sharks about 5-6
 feet long one in the morning and 
 the other in the evening.

 The women all got to washing with
 the rain water that fell on the
 deck in the preceding days.

 Quarrels between Mrs.Johnston and
 Mrs.Hall about care of children.
    Young Alexander Johnston
 not expected to live - Mrs.Hall &
 Mrs.Turnbull spoke to Mrs.Johnston
  about leaving Alexander all day
   while she washed and gossiped
       as if all was well.
