       Light airs and variable
      very calm sea very sultry
 "a prisoner accused of attempting
 to incite a mutiny was examined &
    further heard about it some -
 prisoner ironed - 4 prisoners had
   their iron knocked quite off, 
 Harris,Richard.Addams, R.Lewis,
   Chaulker ".
	
 Cape Verde Islands seen from the
 masthead - Capt.Sterling sailed 
 several times round the ship in
 the jolly boat - Chief Mate went
 out to observe the currents and 
 found they ran from N.W. in 130
  fathoms of water - current 3/4
            of a knot.
