Welcome to the S.N.A.G. Disk of the Month for MAY.

   S.N.A.G. has grown a lot during the last year, with a lot of exciting
   things continuing to happen.

   It has been very interesting seeing all of the new people who have joined
   S.N.A.G. during the last year.  It has also been great being involved
   with all of the great talent that people have been interested in
   sharing with one another.

   Being involved in a user's group has been a benefit for a lot of people,
   who have had their computer problems solved, that had no other
   place to turn.  It is always interesting to see the differences between
   people's computer problems and how the individuals learn and grow and
   pass the information along to others.

   A interesting thing that has come to mind lately about the  Amiga
   Computer, that other computers do not have, is the GURU.  Most people
   look at the GURU as a problem that they do not want, but programmers look
   at the guru as information for what is wrong with their program.  I know
   that most do not understand the GURU Meditations, but if you are writing
   a program, get a book on the Meditation codes and it will help you find
   the bug that is causing the problem with the program.

   For those who watch another type of monitor, T.V., it has been expressed
   that a lot of Credit Cards these days offer extended insurance for consumer
   protection.  Suggest that you check with your Credit Card Company and see
   if Computers are included.  'Not All Are!'

   The 3000 is finally here and no longer a dream. 'See CBM_NewReleases'
   for information and pictures.

   Congratulations to Rick Parks for doing the cover picture of Amiga
   World for May, 1990.  You should see the demo he is planning to do at
   the club this month.  He is an outstanding computer artist.

   While reading some information about printers the other day. Found this
   helpful hint.

   If you are trying to print out a file and having a problem with the
   margins do this on or above the first line of the file.  'Esc[10;96s'
   This command will set the left margin to 10 and the right margin to 96.
   Then select 12-pitch (Elite) to print.  There you go.

   Be sure to read the text file from Steve Tibbet about VirusX4.4.  It is
   not a Virus detector.  'Guess someone has more time than me!'

   Understand from one of the members that a lot of disks are being made
   overseas these days and are not lasting as well as they did.  Works fine
   for a while and then plays out. Check who is making the disks you buy and
   maybe spend a little more for the good things you want on disk media.

   While on the subject of disks and copying, it is the policy of S.N.A.G.
   to condemn piracy of commercial software.  Copying of software which you
   have not purchased is illegal and may result in loss of membership and
   privileges in S.N.A.G..  Geeeeeee, if the club can purchase software,
   and support the authors of Shareware, YOU CAN TOO!!

   Guess everybody heard the joke about the Convict who was talking to
   his lawyer and said, "GEEE, I can't believe my computer turned States
   Evidence!!"
