Please note that the System Exerciser runs by clicking `Startup.2' in the
opening screen. If this is not clicked off the Workbench disk will load as
normal.

If you have not built the diagnostics before follow the steps 1 thru 4
if you have tried version I then you just need to replace the MEMTEST, 
and SYSTEST routines in the C directory and files in the
S directory with the commands:

   copy memtest    to c:memtest
   copy systest    to c:systest
   copy systest-?  to s:
   copy startup    to s:startup-sequence
   copy cpri       to c:cpri

The Users with the A1000 and two drives do not need to make changes to
the resulting disk.  If you have only one drive eliminate the SYSTEST-?
file which tests the drive you do not have.  If you have an A2000, edit
the file SYSTEST-1 and change the option for the drive "-D 1" to the 
option "-D 2" to test DF2: instead of DF1:.

Sorry, SYSTEST will only test 3.5 inch drives.  I am looking into new
test capabilities if asked, so send in your requests(remember money talks!).
 
There are several enhancements to the diagnostics to better test your
system!  

  Revision History Version 5.0

  --SYSTEST was modified to better test the drive.  The system now
    tells it how many tracks to test.  

                   Version 4.0

  --SYSTEST was modified to correctly test for a drive's existance.
    Version 4.0 failed to stop when a drive didn't exist due to a 
    bad test.  This caused a Software Failure.  

  --MEMTEST was updated to give a requestor upon an error, letting
    the User decide to kill or continue.

  --Added CPRI, a utility to set the priority of the tests so the
    disk test run at full speed(the memory test is a cpu hog!).

  ***Things still to add: MEMTEST doesn't return allocated memory 
     if aborted during the test.  
     
  ***It would be nice if MEMTEST would test Non-Autoconfigured memory
     maybe thru an option to test an address range.

 4) Boot using this disk instead of your workbench or CLI disk and you
    will have two drives and a memory test running simultaniously.

  See the files MEMTEST.DOC and SYSTEST.DOC for additional information
  about what the tests do.  The Best time to run diagnostics is when
  your system is ***NOT*** broken.

  This archive contains updates for both diagnostic programs.  The basic
  structure for the disk is the same except that things are not copied
  to ram:.
