      All programs on this disk have been fully tested under WorkBench 1.2
      Some programs may not work under WorkBench (Kickstart) 1.1


                            Word  Processing
                            ----------------

      Microemacs Word Processor
      
      This disk features an Emacs editor customized for word processing.  
      To run this program double click on the MicroEMACS icon.  This
      program features both mouse and keyboard interface.  Check the file
      Microemacs.DOC for help. In particular see the section towards the
      end on special Amiga features where the mouse button functions are
      described.  
      
      QUICK EMACS USE HINTS
      
      * Move the cursor within a text file with the LEFT mouse button.
      
      * Set a mark with the RIGHT mouse button.  Once a region is bounded
        by two marks you may CUT, COPY and PASTE.

      * To delete a whole line type CTRL^K (hold down the control key
        while you press the  K  key).
	 
      * Hold down the SHIFT key to use arrow keys to move around your text 
        file quickly.

      Spell Checkers
      
      There are two spell checkers on this disk.  These are
      
      
      X-Spell
      
      IMPORTANT!  X-Spell and the Dictionary must be moved into your 
      current C directory.  This is the directory on your WorkBench disk
      where the AmigaDOS commands are kept.  X-Spell will crash the Amiga
      if both these files are not in the current C directory.
      
      To copy X-Spell and Dictionary to the current C directory type 
      at the CLI:
      
      1>copy "APDC # 023:X-Spell" WorkBench:C
      
      (The CLI prompt "1>" is not meant to be typed).
      
      Now you can run the X-Spell program from any directory simply by 
      typing at the CLI
      
      1>x-spell <filename>
      
      The filename must be entered at the CLI. This is the name of the 
      text file you want to spell check.  See X-Spell.Doc for complete
      instructions.
      
      
      Amigaspell
      
      A basic icon operated spell checker that scans your document
      and displays unrecognized words as it encounters them.  To expand
      recognized words edit the file glossary.data
      
      
      
                             Databasing
                             ----------			   
      			   
      QBase       
      
      An excellent mailbase management utility.  See QB.Doc for
      instructions.  
      
      
      There are also three excellent databasing utilities by Hal Carter on
      this disk.  These are:
      
      HouseInv    A database utility to record information on your
                  valuable household possesions.
		   
      Mailmgr     A mailing list manager.
      
      Refmgr      A 3 x 5 card type reference manager.
      
      
      Select   Instructions   from the mouse menu interface for help on 
      using these three database utilities.  To edit a new databse you will
      need to enter some CLI commands to delete the existing databases in
      these directories.  See   General Instructions  under the Instructions
      menu for help in deleting the proper files.
