Help for CONFERENCE:
The conferencing system is designed to provide error-free multi-member
discussions between users in as real-time a manner as current technology
can provide.

Conferences without this system are all but impossible. Consider the problems
faced by several remote users wishing to chat. All attendees must use the
UNPROTO mode of the TNCs - with MONitor turned on. This has several problems.
First, The packets sent using UNPROTO are not sent using handshaking, they
are broadcast. If another packet collided, the line would have to be retyped.
Secondly, and this is most important with the advent of NETROM, any other
communications on frequency would clutter the screen ! Binary transfers of
files and NETROM inter-node communications just make matters worse.

With CONFERENCE, you and your friends can enjoy roundtable discussions as if
you were all CONNECTED to each other.

Usage: Type CONFERENCE

The system will tell you who else is in conference or if you are the only
one to be in CONFERENCE at the time.
