AMIGA.README QUICK INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING GNU BISON 1.21 AMIGA PORT V1.00 This is my port of GNU Bison V1.21. To install it, copy the executable "Bison" to somewhere in your path and move the files "Bison.hairy" and "Bison.simple" to the S: directory. I've used this port to compile flex's parse.y grammar file without problems, so I hope everything is ok. If you run into problems running multiple copies of Bison at once (I wonder why you would want to do this on the Amiga :-), please tell me. I think that Aztec's mktemp() functions behaves correctly. If you're running earlier versions of the AmigaOS, make sure you have T: assigned somewhere as this is the default place for temporary files. No amiga-specific functions have been used in the process of porting, so this program should run under all supported versions of the Amiga Operating System. It was compiled on an Amiga 500 Running KS 2.04/WB2.1. Contact me at hoover@mathematik.uni-bielefeld.de or via snail mail at HooverSoft Inc. Joellenbecker Weg 4 W-4900 Herford (or 32051 Herford after June 1st, 1993) Germany if you have any problems using this Amiga version of "Bison". It was compiled using Aztec C V5.0. This archive contains the binaries necessary to run Bison. For the full source version, ftp to ftp.mathematik.uni-bielefeld.de and get the file /pub/amiga/gnu/bison121src.tar.z which includes all *.[ch]-files with Amiga specific changes. Contact me to see how we can get the files to you if you don't have ftp access. Enjoy, hoover
