Message Area Scanner 1.50 Format: SCAN [ALL|] [NEW] [FORCE] [CONT] [INTER] Purpose: To scan message areas in one of, or all of, the SIGs configured. Operation: A message area scan will performed listing each area in the given SIG. For each area you will see the number of the first and last message, amount of messages, and the amount of new messages. Giving "ALL" as the SIG number, will cause all of the SIGs (that you are allowed to access) to be scanned one at a time, after which you will get a summary. Options: NEW Only shows areas with new messages for you. FORCE Shows all areas, whether you have joined to them or not. Normally only areas that you have joined to, as scanned, but this operation can be overriden using this option. CONT New in v1.50. To be used with option ALL. Shows the areas of all SIGs continuously in one list, instead of listing them one at a time. A summary will not be presented. INTER Instigates the interactive mode. Instead of starting the scan immediately, you will be presented a list of SIGs you are allowed to access, and you can select one, or all of them to be scanned. After scanning, you will be taken back to this selection, and you can scan again. Note: Scanning all SIGs ("Scan ALL") is also interactive. You will be prompted for a key press after each SIG. Note: The NEW and FORCE options also work in the interactive mode. Examples: Scan 3 Scans areas you have joined in SIG 3. Shows also new messages. Scan NEW CONT Scans for new messages in all SIGs. Only shows areas in which there are new messages. Shows the areas in one list. Scan 7 NEW FORCE Scans for new messages in all areas of SIG 7. Shows also the areas you have not joined to.
