Nobody has decoded a file without the password until now ! Installation: Copy only the file Crypt into your c-directory, an you can start Usage: Crypt sourcename targetname [password] Then the file "sourcename" is being encoded and written into the file with the targetname. The password is optional, when you don't use password, the program uses the given password(in version 0.602 it is "????????"). This option is an relict from the developmentstatus, use it very carefully, only for testing, because everybody with the same cryptversion can decode the data without the password !!!!! You can decode with the same program and the same password History: Version 0.6026 Sourcecode has been optimized The Source- and Targetnames can now have a length of 80 character (before 40 chars) The Password now can have a length of 9 chars, before is there were a maximum of 8 chars. In the versions before the program only writes (filesize and $ffff) bytes of the file, this means only the first 16 Bit of the filesize is being used The commandline-evaluation is being build in a better way, now you can put any number of spaces between the parameters in the commandline Version 0.502 The bug from 0.5 is being corrected Version 0.5 The program codes 1 character to much, because of this sometimes the program goes to India Version 0.4 Crypt was first written in AmigaBasic and later in Assembly-Language. The Version 0.4 was not at a very high level, but it was useable There were 2 different versions: 1. like a cli-command, which reads the params from the commandline 2. like a cli-command, which reads the params after the start of the program in a user-program-dialog Version 0.1 Crypt is an AmigaBasicprogram, only running in Kickstart 1.2/1.3 Future: - I'm going to implend an packing-algorithm - the program is going to be optimized - an GUI is going to be implented Because the with-author Christian Anders in the early versions of the program has gone out of the project, im going to develop this program alone License: This program is public domain.
