NAME HFK VERSION 39.30 AUTHOR Herbert West email: ali@extro.ucc.su.oz.au DESCRIPTION HFK is yet another TitleBar clock, which tries too look like part of your Workbench title bar. It actually opens a very small, non- draggable window in the upper right corner of the screen. HFK opens on the default public screen, which will usually be Workbench. OK, so why should you use HFK instead of any other clock available on the Amiga? Firstly, HFK uses almost 0% of CPU time, as it is written very efficiently in C, taking advantage of the timer.device. This means that HFK has to wake up only once a minute to render the time. Secondly, HFK is NOT CONFIGURABLE! Why is this an advantage? Well, if you like it, you will love it, and if you dont like it, then get nicked! HFK is a simple clock, that's all. To quit HFK, you must signal it's task with CTRL-C. TaskX will let you do this, as will Pervert (the ultimate system monitor) which will be released by myself *rsn*. Finally, HFK will only work under Workbench 3.0 (V39) and above, as it uses the extended DrawInfo structure to render itself in the same colours as your title bar, hence looking very sexy. Oh yeah, I take no responsability for any evil things this program may do to your system, although it has been thoroughly tested. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Kickstart/Workbench 3.0 or above. DISTRIBUTION HFK is freely distributable. It is a gift from me to the Amiga community worldwide. However, the archive may not be modified in any way. The only duty you have as user of HFK is to send me email to say you like it, or say hi to me on irc! (my nick is 'herb') HFK should be available on all aminet sites, and will be initially uploaded to ftp.luth.se.
