SUPERPRINT
----------

SuperPrint is a tools to helf you if you want to print documents or
source-codes (in ASCII).

Right, you can also use DOS TYPE, but is it able to

 - number the pages,

 - choose left and right margin,

 - cut off too long lines,

 - print own texts on every page,

 - edit free header and footer ?

Yes and NO!!

Left and right margins can be edited by preferences - that it!

The main reason to write this program - I wanted to print the documents of
"TERM". I found "NewPrint" in my PD program collection. But I hadn't checked
the doc. There were some long lines that destroied the layout
(header and footer).

So I started writing "SuperPrint", Intuition-User-Guide, using OS-2.0-
functions. And now, here is the discription.

After starting there is a short info-window, followed by the gadget-window:


FILENAME ...... you can select the file you want to print in a ASL-Requester
                You can edit it in the string-gadget behind.

SCAN FILE ..... checks the selected file and shows the number of pages that
                will be needed with this configuration and the number of chars
                in the longest line

LEFT MARGIN ... the number a spaces left of the text


RIGHT MARGIN .. after the entered number every text-line ends!


LINES/PAGE .... the maxinum LINES on every PAGE

<- PREFS ...... the default settings of the system-preferences were set to
                the number before the gadget (e.g. left margin)

HEADLINES ..... the number of lines of the head on every page

BOTTOM ........ the number of lines every footer has

EXTRA TEXT .... here you can enter a special text that can be printed on
                every page

MORE CHARS .... here you can choose what happens if a text-line has too many
                chars: cut them off or print them (this may destroy the
                page layout)

HEADER ........ the first cycle gadget chooses the text style (plain, bold,
                italic), the second the text which is printed
                (nothing (empty), page number, extra text)

FOOTER ........ same cycle gadgets, same functions for the footer

PRINT ......... starts printing, in a control window you can abort printing

SUPERPRINT INFO show infos

EXIT .......... leaved like the closegadget without a question the
                program

All escape-sequences are printed but the ff formfeed is replaced by a
own function that starts a new page.

Program is Public Domain and may freely copied or used. Some of the
procedures are copyright by J.Schmitz [SOFT].
Anyway, here they may be copied!!
