Introducing ZIP for the Amiga, ported by Intuitive Software, the makers of
DLGMail for the DLG Pro BB/OS on 12/07/91.

The ZIP port is freely distributable.  If you have questions about this, see the
original ZIP readme file, stored here as "README-old".  All original files of the
ZIP distribution are included in this distribution in order to be sure it meets
the copyright stipulations in README-old. Note however that some modifications
were necessary to get ZIP working on the Amiga.  The unmodified C files are still
here under their old names with a "-old" appended.  This strictly meets the
copyright distribution  requirements.

The provided Amiga makefile works for Lattice V 5.10b.

Comments from Ross, 11/17/91:

Things not ported:
  1)  The utime() routine called in fileio.c is not available
      in Lattice.  Therefore the timestamp setting code was disabled. 

  2)  This port doesn't support encryption at present.

Otherwise, to the best of our knowledge and reported bugs, ZIp works fine.

You'll need UnZip (v4.0 or 4.1) to unarchive .ZIP files. These programs are
available on most better bulletin board systems.
