   Dear TrapDoor User,

   Welcome to TrapDoor 1.80.  It has been a long time since the previous
release of TrapDoor, but - finally! - here it is.

   We are sorry for the long time it has taken us to get this TrapDoor
released, but it turns out that developing original, top-notch and
innovative, yet well-tested and fail-safe software takes its time.  Several
beta testers have been studying and testing this version for several
months, and we are positive that this is one of the finest TrapDoors you
and I have ever seen.  I'd like to thank all of you who helped us making
this TrapDoor as reliable and stable as it stands now.  Those of you who
sent in tons of bug reports, talked to me on the phone, suggested new
enhancements, flooded the beta testers conference with mail, proof-read the
manuals and so on.  Thank you all for your assistance.

   We are proud of this new version.  It has so many new features, I cannot
really count them all.  We have fixed literally hundreds of bugs during
this development phase (yet found to our satisfaction that only very few of
them were relicts from older releases of TrapDoor).  We have conducted long
test series with all other Fidonet mailers we could get our hands (sorry -
our telephone) on and found this TrapDoor to be working rock-solid.  We
sincerely hope you will like it, too.

   Welcome to a new generation of Fidonet software.  Welcome to EMSI.
Welcome to cost accounting, to the new nodelist format, to
traplist.library, to full 4D-addressing; welcome to the future.

   And thanks for your support -- without all of you who support ShareWare,
this project would never have got so far.
