LastLogin is public domain, so you can do whatever you want. You are free to
improve this program, although I think it's nearly perfect. (Who is laughing?)

If there is someone who makes it even more perfect I would like to here about
this enhancement.

Do me a favor: don't remove the author's copyright notice.

The source is written in ANSI-C, and ready to be compiled with the SAS/C-
Compiler. Aztec-C users can leave out the »_main()« module.
For detailed information check out the source code, and watch for my comments.



Introduction:

LastLogin is a simple tool to show you the last date and time of using your
Amiga. Each time you start your Amiga with the usual »startup-sequence«, you
will see the date of last using in a little window. This will be very cute,
if your Amiga is used by several users, and you want to have information about
the last using.

Ok, you can't identify the user with this method, but may be you are able to
find it out, with the date in your mind.

Anyway, it is a nice way to control yourself...



Installation:

The installation is very easy. Copy »LastLogin« to » c: «, and add your
»startup-sequence« with the command »LastLogin [args]« at a suitable place.
That's all.

AmigaOS 2.0 users simply move »LastLogin« into the »WBStartup« drawer. Programs
in this drawer will be executed automatically.



Usage:

Just click on the appropriate icon or run »LastLogin« from CLI.
»LastLogin« opens a little window with date/time information. After you
have read these information click in the window or wait till »LastLogin«
quits itself.

Start from CLI:

You can set the period of time with the -d argument. If you want to run
»LastLogin« for about 10 seconds, you have to type »LastLogin -d10«. In
this case »LastLogin« will run at most 10 seconds.

Of course you can also specify the filename with the date/time information.
For instance »LastLogin -fENVARC:LAST_LOGIN« will write the actual date/time
to the file LAST_LOGIN in the ENVARC: drawer.

Start from Workbench:

From the workbench interface you have the same possibilities to change the
delay and filename:
Open the information requester and enter for example DELAY=10 and/or
FILE=ENVARC:LAST_LOGIN in the »Tool Types« gadgets.

The default setting is:
Delay	: 5 secs
Filename: DEVS:LAST_LOGIN
