Yes this really is a REAL warning.

Due to the fact that Comixbase does no buffering of the comic records
it is very slow when run off of floppies and some hard drives.
Therefore it is HIGHLY recommended that you run this program from a
RAM drive. Simply copy the entire COMIX directory into RAM: and run the
program making any changes that you might have to make and then
copy the directory back to your hard drive or floppy where you store the
program.

I hope to add buffering for the comic records in the near future.

There now wasn't that a breath of fresh air? Most so-called warning text
files I've seen which come with PD or shareware programs tend to be crap
which simply tells you to register the program or some other nonsense like
that.
