Thursday 7th September 1995 (C) Joona Palaste An Autumn Evening... ...or at least, that's what they want us to believe Kavrot the Warrior looked around him once more. He had been right all along, this truly was a place he'd never been in before. He thought, "I guess I'm not in Kansas anymore", but as he didn't know where or what Kansas was, that didn't help him a lot. Kavrot jumped on a mushroom about one and a half times his height and sat on its warm, soft surface. There were trees in this place, of course, but they were very big, at least a mile high each, he thought. And their colours were mostly purplish hues. Small insects buzzed past Kavrot. They appeared to have beaks and even their eyes reminded him of birds. Yet they were only as large as one of his finger- tips. That was very puzzling. After a while Kavrot decided that it would be no good wondering where he was. It would be best to wonder, for a while, how he had got there. It had been an autumn evening, he remembered. He had been leisurely strolling in his home village, after slaying a few orcs and being an all-around good guy. He had drunk a few pints of ale at the inn, and then met a nice little lass about his own age in the inn. They had walked to the girl's home and drunk more ale together. Then they had copulated, for want of a better term. That's the last thing Kavrot remembered. Suddenly it became clear to Kavrot what was the place he was in, and how he had got there. The girl had had the colour in her eyes. The colour of the sorceress. She was one, he now found out, and a very insidious one, at that. After achieving pleasure from him by copulating, and seeing that he was asleep, the girl had used her powers to send Kavrot to an astral plane. And there he was, right now. So Kavrot, after deciding that it would be of no use trying to get back to his own plane, began frolicing in the astral plane and exploring every single nook and cranny of it. And he had a whale of a time.
