The object of the game is to be the wealthiest player for the whole
month. You start with $20,000 dollars. All stocks have a starting price of
$100. The Bond price is $1000 dollars and remains the same throughout the
entire game. Every night during maintenance all stock prices change to
reflect the current atmosphere of the stock market and how that particular
stock does during that atmosphere. There can be a BULL market (stocks
generally increase in value) and a BEAR market (stock generally decrease
in value).

DIVIDENDS:
c2
Certain stocks pay dividends per share of stock that you own. These
dividends are listed in the company biographies and they are listed in the
SELL/BUY, and Portfolio screens. Dividends on these stocks are paid at the
same rate whether or not the stock gains in value or decreases. Dividends
are also paid on the day that a company goes bankrupt. Dividends are paid
directly to your cash account on each day. Dividends are the only way to
increase your cash without selling stock.

BANKRUPTCY:
c2
When the price of a share of stock reaches 0 or less then that stock
has gone bankrupt. All shares you own of that stock at that time are lost.
The following day, that company will come under new management with a new
price per shared assigned to their stock.

STOCK SPLITS:
c2
When the price of a stock reaches $200 or more then that stock
splits 2 for 1. The stock price is then cut in half and any shares you have
of that stock are then doubled.

TOTAL NET WORTH:
c2
Your total net worth can be viewed from the Portfolio screen. This
is the total value of all your stocks and your cash. This value is what is
used to determine who is winning the game.

HELPFUL HINTS
c2
It is often a good idea to get an immediate cash flow going so you
will have additional money with which to buy additional shares of stock.
Buying into stock that pays dividends will do this for you.
Buy stock at low prices and sell it at higher prices. Common sense
here. It costs 3% broker fees to buy and sell stocks & bonds. Ensure you
have made reasonable profit before selling your stocks. Do not convert your
stocks into cash on the last day of the month. Your net value is for the
value of your current stock, not the value in cash minus 3% broker fees.
