About HeadQuarters HeadQuarters is the ultimate replacement for the old MechForce and BattleForce games. It has been designed to extend these games and bring more playability into them. The work has started in late 1990 with some small support programs which has been put together to a single HeadQuarters program in 1991. Since then HeadQuarters has grow considerably to a most useful program for the MechForce and BattleForce player community. The MechForce program on this disk, which is freely distributable, is currently being used to play deadly combats against other (computer-)units. It can be replaced against the BattleForce program if someone finds this much more appropriate. All the mechs coming with this disk have been designed with HeadQuarters and are not fully downward compatible. All the extended mech types can not be used within the old support programs that belong to the MechForce or BattleForce package. If you are using HeadQuarters you will not need most of them, except the configuration program. This software has been designed to work perfectly on a hard drive. It can be installed by simply copying all the files and directories to the boot partition. If you own the configuration program above you can install HeadQuarters into a subdirectory on your hard drive. If you do not own this program and have installed HeadQuarters and MechForce in a subdirectory than you must change 'SYS:' to the directory you have installed HeadQuarters with 'assign SYS: DH0:Directory before running HeadQuarters.
